VINTAGE Eagle Scout Mothers Pin Sterling Silver BSA Eagle Brooch 1970s Scouting Collectible

Two Eagle Scouts in the family, two little silver eagles in Momma's jewelry box. She was proud of both.

This 1970s sterling silver Eagle Scout mother's pin by Stange Company belonged to my mother, whose sons Arthur and Mark both achieved Eagle Scout during that decade. She wore these small eagle pins on her dress lapels. There were originally two in her jewelry box; the other has already found a new home. This listing is for the one remaining pin pictured here. We do not know which son's achievement this particular pin accompanied.

Presenting a miniature Eagle pin to the Scout's mother was a Court of Honor tradition recognizing her encouragement and support along the way. This was a parent's keepsake for civilian wear, separate from the Scout's own rank badge and medal.

The small spread wing eagle has raised BSA lettering across its front, detailed feathers, and a darkened background that brings out the silver design. The reverse bears the Stange Company maker's mark, a stylized S within a square, above the word STERLING.
