VINTAGE Canada Goose Brooch Carved Green Stone Bird Pin Alaska Cruise Souvenir 1980s

Momma brought this little traveler home from an Alaska cruise, and now it is ready for another outing.

This vintage green stone brooch depicts a Canada goose in flight, with a long outstretched neck and sweeping wings. Its simple sculptural shape and glossy polish let the deep green color and mottled markings do the talking. A gold tone pin clasp is attached to the back.

From my mother's personal collection, acquired during her Alaska cruise, believed to have been in the late 1980s. A Canadian port stop is a possible purchase location, although the exact shop and place of manufacture are unknown.

Momma always called it jade. The stone has not been independently identified, so it is offered here as green stone rather than guaranteed jade.
