Some pots are made for dinner; this one is made for feeding people. A generous batch of soup, stock simmering through the afternoon, or pasta for a table full of friends—this 10-quart Revere Ware stockpot is ready to earn its place in the kitchen again.
Made in Rome, New York, with a stainless steel vessel, copper-clad bottom, two black side handles, and a stainless steel lid with black knob.
The bottom stamp dates this piece to 1974–1976: it includes the capacity marking but predates the later star and two-digit production year stamps.
Approximately 10" in diameter and 7½" tall without the lid. Marked 10 Qt. This listing includes the pot and lid.
I've cleaned and polished it inside and out, including the handles. Both side handles are tight. One handle has a small piece missing from its inside edge, next to the vessel. This is mostly hidden in normal viewing and faintly visible in the handle close-up; it does not affect the handle's usefulness.
Surface scratches and some interior discoloration reflect normal use. The lid has a small dent, shown in the close-up photograph.
A useful piece of American kitchen history, with plenty of dinners still ahead.
Curious how I dated this pot? I explain the markings and history of copper-bottom Revere Ware in my video:
