Some teapots are dressed for company even when it’s just you and a quiet afternoon. This lovely pot brings burgundy, green, and gold to the table, with stylized flowers framed by sweeping arches and delicate scrollwork.
The white ceramic body has a curved handle and spout, a gently scalloped foot, and a patterned lid topped with an unusual open loop finial. Pretty enough for the china cabinet, and just as charming among a collection of mismatched teacups.
Approximately 6" tall with the lid and 8½" from spout to handle.
Very good overall condition, with the decoration well preserved. No maker’s markings; maker, country of origin, and exact production date are unknown.
