VINTAGE Sylvac Cavalier Character Jug Hand Painted Staffordshire Toby Mug 4.5 Inch Made in England
$42.00
With rosy cheeks, a curled mustache, and a jaunty black hat, this little Cavalier looks like he has a story or two to tell! His wonderfully expressive face is what caught my eye—a small piece with plenty of personality.
Made by Sylvac in Staffordshire, England, this hand-painted ceramic character jug features brown curls, a cream ruffled collar, and a deep red accent beneath his chin. His hat forms the open rim, with a curved handle at the back.
Approximately 4.5 inches tall.
The underside is marked “Sylvac,” “Staffordshire,” “Hand Painted,” “Made in England,” and “Cavalier.”
Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The glaze is intact inside and out.
A charming companion for a bookshelf, mantel, or collection of English character jugs.
