VINTAGE Wood Kitchen Canister Set Flour Sugar Coffee Tea Octagonal 4 Piece Set

Warm wood. Natural texture. And four handsome vintage canisters that can completely change the feeling of a kitchen counter.

This complete vintage kitchen canister set includes four coordinating wooden canisters for Flour, Sugar, Coffee and Tea, each with its original removable plastic liner and fitted wooden lid.

The rich wood grain and simple black lettering give the set unmistakable mid-century character, but you certainly don't need a vintage kitchen to enjoy them. In fact, they may be even more striking in a contemporary one.

Set against white cabinetry, stone countertops, stainless steel or other clean modern finishes, the natural wood brings warmth and texture to the room without adding clutter or fuss. They are substantial enough to make a statement, but simple enough to work with a wide range of decorating styles.

And, of course, they're useful.

Each wooden outer canister contains a removable plastic liner, keeping the contents separate from the wood and making the containers much easier to live with in an actual working kitchen. All four original liners are present.

The canisters have been carefully restored. The old, darkened and gummy finish was removed from the wood, inside and out, revealing the beautiful grain beneath. The refreshed wood was then given a coat of food-safe beeswax for protection and a soft, natural glow rather than a heavy glossy finish.

The original plastic liners have also been thoroughly cleaned. As shown in the photographs, they vary somewhat in color from decades of age and use, but all four are intact and fit their respective canisters.

The liners are marked Republic Molding Corp. I have not attributed the wooden canisters themselves to Republic, as I have not found documentation establishing who manufactured the wood components of the set.

Approximate size:
• Flour and Sugar canisters: about 9 inches tall with lids
• Coffee and Tea canisters: about 7 inches tall with lids
• Each measures approximately 6 inches across

Please see the measurement photographs for additional detail.

This is a genuine vintage set and shows the minor marks and variations expected from age and use. The wood has been restored rather than made to look new, preserving the character that makes vintage pieces worth having in the first place.

Whether they're going into a warm mid-century kitchen, a rustic space, or onto a sleek stone countertop that could use a little natural texture, these are four beautiful and practical pieces of vintage kitchenware ready to go back to work.

Set includes all four canisters, all four lids and all four removable liners.
