Vintage Hamilton Beach Model 25 commercial malt mixer, dating to approximately the 1930s.
Vintage Hamilton Beach Model 25 commercial malt mixer, dating to approximately the 1930s.
Known among collectors as one of Hamilton Beach's early "Top Hat" mixers, the Model 25 gets its distinctive nickname from the small raised motor-bearing housing at the very top of the machine. Later Hamilton Beach mixers adopted a more streamlined motor housing, making the Top Hat silhouette particularly characteristic of these early models.
This handsome mixer features a substantial cast-iron pedestal finished in warm ivory porcelain enamel, topped by its original chrome motor housing with the Hamilton Beach identification badge.
The mixer has been carefully serviced and refreshed while preserving its vintage character. The motor and mechanism have been cleaned and lubricated, the electrical cord and wiring have been replaced, and the porcelain enamel and chrome have been carefully cleaned and polished. New non-skid feet have also been installed for stability and to protect the surface beneath the mixer.
It has been tested and is operating properly.
A new stainless steel malt cup is included.
The original porcelain enamel remains attractive and glossy, with small areas of age-related wear and loss. The chrome motor housing and original identification badge show patina, fine scratches, spotting and other surface wear consistent with age. These characteristics have been preserved rather than refinished and are clearly shown in the photos, which are part of the description.
