VINTAGE 1940s Pyrex Flameware No. 6763 Double Boiler - Complete 3 Piece Set with Lid - Made in USA

This complete vintage Pyrex Flameware Double Boiler set is a wonderful example of one of Pyrex's most practical and enduring cookware designs. Made from heat-resistant borosilicate glass, Flameware was designed for use directly on the stovetop while allowing you to watch your cooking as it happened.

This complete three-piece set includes:

• Lower saucepan
• Upper double boiler insert
• Original glass lid

Unlike many vintage Flameware pieces, this set has been completely disassembled so the chrome bands and glass could be thoroughly cleaned inside and out. Years of accumulated residue have been removed from beneath the bands and around the handles, leaving a clean, attractive set that is ready to use or display.

This set shows the honest signs of decades of careful use, including light utensil marks and normal wear consistent with its age. The lower saucepan remains pleasantly clear with only modest clouding, which is uncommon for a well-used Flameware double boiler.

The original lid has one small edge chip (shown in the photographs). The chip is confined to the outer edge and does not affect the fit or function of the lid.
