An early Boy Scouts of America uniform insignia featuring the classic Eagle and Fleur-de-Lis emblem above the "Be Prepared" banner. The reverse is marked "B.S. of A." and "PAT. 1911," indicating the early patent design used on vintage Scout insignia.
This original brass pin retains its warm aged patina and honest wear acquired through years of service. A small suspension loop remains beneath the banner, suggesting it was originally designed to carry an additional award or pendant, as was common with early Scout insignia.
A wonderful piece for collectors of Boy Scout memorabilia, early American organizations, or vintage fraternal and youth movement collectibles.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and patina. Pin functions properly.
