VINTAGE Sunbeam Mixmaster Power Transfer Unit (PTU)

An exceptionally early example of the famous Sunbeam Power Transfer Unit, featuring the desirable "PAT. APPLIED FOR" casting found on the earliest production versions.

The PTU was one of Sunbeam's most innovative accessories, allowing the Mixmaster to power a variety of attachments including coffee grinders, meat grinders, vegetable slicers and other specialty accessories. It transformed the Mixmaster from a simple mixer into a complete kitchen machine.

This example has been cleaned, inspected, lubricated, and tested. It operates smoothly and is ready for use or display.

Compatibility:

This PTU fits Sunbeam Mixmaster Models 9 and earlier.

These early mixers can be identified by the two bowl-position holes located in the baseplate that allow the user to change bowl size and position.

IMPORTANT:

This PTU is NOT compatible with Model 10 or later Mixmasters.

Mixmasters equipped with a Bowl Shift Lever are not compatible with this unit.
