Aurora began life as a late-1940s/early-1950s Sunbeam Mixmaster Model 9. Her original finish was no longer restorable to Auntie Nen standards, so she has been fully reimagined — transformed into a functional art piece that still honors her post-war engineering roots.
Her new finish glows with a deep indigo-to-teal color-shift inspired by mid-century metals (think early Electrolux vacuums or vintage Da-Lite projection housings). The effect is softly metallic, elegant, and unmistakably unique.

Aurora is internally restored to peak performance:
Fully disassembled, cleaned, and re-greased
Modern food-safe grease applied throughout
Contacts cleaned and tightened
Governor cleaned and calibrated
Bearings inspected
New carbon brushes installed
Brand-new polarized 2-prong UL-listed cordset with modern vinyl insulation
New non-skid feet for stability during use
