🎨 Reimagined Finish
Pearl began life as a traditional pink Model 12, but her original finish and badges were too far below my restoration standards. Instead of retiring her, I gave her a completely new identity.
Her body and bowls now wear a soft, iridescent pearl—subtly shifting under light, luminous without being loud. The finish is protected with clear coat for durability, then polished with crystalline wax for a glow that feels both vintage and modern.
This isn’t a replication of a Sunbeam color.
This is an artist’s interpretation of what a Mixmaster can be.
⚙️ Condition
Mechanically, Pearl has been rebuilt with the same rigor as every ANS mixer:
Fully cleaned and degreased internally
Gear case repacked with fresh grease
Speed governor tuned and tested
New carbon brushes
Electrical system updated with a new cord
New non-skid feet installed for a safer, more stable base
Brand-new beaters complete the build
She runs smoothly through all speeds and is ready for both display and regular kitchen use.
Because this is a reimagined piece, you’ll notice:

Bowls that match her new aesthetic
A look that simply did not exist in the 1950s

Pearl is part of my “Reimagined” series — mixers that weren’t candidates for true historical restoration, but were far too good to discard. Instead, they become canvases.
