I'm old enough to remember a time before Starbucks was on every corner, when a percolator like this sat on every formica counter in the neighborhood, bubbling out cup after cup throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This one still has all of the original parts and still works perfectly... I've replaced the worn-out cloth cord with a modern one, adjusted to fit, but beyond that all parts are original. It stands an impressive 10-1/2" tall, and carries the hefty weight of stainless steel. I've tested it and works perfectly, brewing a full pot in about 10-12 minutes, depending where you set the dial. When the light goes off, the coffee is ready- what a marvelous, modern convenience! I love this particular model above most others because of its graceful spout and art-deco handle with beautiful etchings on both sides- the 1950's truly was about taking function to new, dazzling forms! Truly a work of industrial art for your MCM kitchen!
This unit has an obvious cosmetic dent on the vessel, to the upper right of the control knob; I've tried to show it as clearly as possible in the last 2 photos. This dent does not appear to have weakened the metal and does not affect the operation of the coffeemaker. Ships free, and your satisfaction is guaranteed.
