This is the Real McCoy! It has the Nelson Mccoy logo on the glazed bottom, distinguishing it from others I've seen with no markings. The pottery used this "NM" logo in the late 1930's and early 1940's, so this would be earlier than the 1950 you sometimes see.
This pitcher is in excellent shape, especially given its age, with no cracks or crazing. There is a tiny mark on the rim that I've shown in the photos. To be honest, I'm not sure if it's a chip or a glaze void from the kiln- there doesn't seem to be any clay missing... just a small bit of glaze. I'm all about disclosure!
It's a beautiful cobalt color, clean on the inside and out, and it has a retainer across the spout to keep ice in the pitcher. It's 6" tall and 7" from spout to handle and hold a quart and a half. Shipping's on me!
