VINTAGE McCoy Classic Line Medium Pedestal Planter

VINTAGE McCoy Classic Line Medium Pedestal Planter – Antique Gold – Made in USA

A handsome piece of vintage McCoy pottery that gives an ancient classical form a distinctly mid-century interpretation.

This medium-size pedestal planter is from McCoy's Classic Line and has a wonderful Greek and Roman influence. Deep vertical fluting surrounds the bowl, while the raised pedestal base gives the piece the proportions of an ancient urn or architectural vessel. Antique-gold decoration highlights the form and adds warmth and depth to the design.

It's a wonderful example of mid-century American design borrowing from the distant past—classical inspiration simplified and reinterpreted for the modern home.

📏 APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS

• 5-1/2" tall
• 5" diameter across the top

The taller pedestal gives this version considerable presence without requiring much space. It would be beautiful holding a small plant, ivy or succulent, but it's equally attractive displayed empty as a sculptural piece of vintage American pottery.

✨ CONDITION

Very Good Vintage Condition.

The planter displays beautifully, with the antique-gold decoration emphasizing its fluted form and classical details. Please examine all photographs carefully for the most complete representation of its vintage condition.

🏛️ AUNTIE NEN'S NOTE

McCoy apparently decided that if a little Ancient Greece was good, a little *more* Ancient Greece might be even better.

At approximately 5-1/2 inches tall, this medium version has a noticeably taller, more architectural presence than the smaller Classic Line pedestal planter. The fluting, antique-gold accents and elevated form make it look almost like a miniature classical urn.

A wonderful addition to a McCoy collection—or an easy way to add a little vintage architectural drama to a shelf, table or plant display.
