FireKing was Anchor Hocking's answer to the success their competitor Corning Glassworks saw with Pyrex, and IMHO their Lustreware is far more interesting and beautiful than the original! The exterior glaze is much shinier and more durable, so FireKing pieces are usually in better condition- and the colors and designs were far more elegant, probably because by this point Corning had shifted their attention away from glass and onto pyroceramic. This piece is a 1-1/2 quart casserole, labelled 447 on the bottom. It's in excellent condition with no noticeable marks or scratches.
