The Smuggler is a classic example of the chalk ware heads made by Bosson's LTD of Congleton, England between 1948 and 1996. This colorful character has an eyepatch and a bit a sneer, giving him the air of a real swashbuckling pirate. (I've always thought he looks a but like John Wayne!) He is in good shape with no missing paster and only a few minor flakes of the paint, most noticeable on his nose, and could be restored pretty easily by someone with more artistic skill than me. No box.
