π΅ Imari Style with Scottish Charm
Believed to be made by Clyde Pottery in Scotland, this set of four teacups and matching saucers features the Imari-inspired Pattern 2586. Clyde produced variations of this bold cobalt, rust-red, and gilded design from the late Victorian era into the early 20th century, and the shape and finish on these pieces suggest early-to-mid 1900s production.
π Auntie Nenβs Table
I like to imagine Auntie Nen sipping after-dinner coffee from these cups in the dining room with the ladies, while the gentlemen retired to the parlor to play cards and smoke cigars. Today, you and your friends can enjoy cappuccinos while the guys play video games and vape in the garage β some traditions evolve, but a good cup still brings people together.
π Condition
Excellent antique condition. No chips or cracks. Transfers and gilding are bright and crisp with minimal wear.
